Verse (17:16), Word 10 - Quranic Grammar

The tenth word of verse (17:16) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and verb. Sahih International: And when We intend to destroy a city, We command its affluent but they defiantly disobey therein; so the word comes into effect upon it, and We destroy it with [complete] destruction.
