Verse (14:44), Word 18 - Quranic Grammar

The eighteenth word of verse (14:44) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, supplemental particle and negative particle. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The supplemental particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so".
