Verse (14:12), Word 17 - Quranic Grammar


The seventeenth word of verse (14:12) is a form V masculine plural active participle and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The active participle's triliteral root is wāw kāf lām (و ك ل).

Chapter (14) sūrat ib'rāhīm (Abraham)

the ones who put (their) trust."

Verse (14:12)

The analysis above refers to the twelfth verse of chapter 14 (sūrat ib'rāhīm):

Sahih International: And why should we not rely upon Allah while He has guided us to our [good] ways. And we will surely be patient against whatever harm you should cause us. And upon Allah let those who would rely [indeed] rely."
