Verse (11:78), Word 20 - Quranic Grammar

The twentieth word of verse (11:78) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The form IV imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is second person masculine plural and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is khā zāy yā (خ ز ي). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun. The of the first person singular object pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.
