Verse (11:61), Word 6 - Quranic Grammar

The sixth word of verse (11:61) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A vocative particle, noun and possessive pronoun. The noun is masculine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is qāf wāw mīm (ق و م). The of the first person singular possessive pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.

Sahih International: And to Thamud [We sent] their brother salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive."
