Verse (11:28), Word 2 - Quranic Grammar

The second word of verse (11:28) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A vocative particle, noun and possessive pronoun. The noun is masculine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is qāf wāw mīm (ق و م). The of the first person singular possessive pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.

Sahih International: He said, "O my people have you considered: if I should be upon clear evidence from my Lord while He has given me mercy from Himself but it has been made unapparent to you, should we force it upon you while you are averse to it?
