Verse (11:18), Word 12 - Quranic Grammar

The twelfth word of verse (11:18) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A conjunction and verb. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine singular and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is qāf wāw lām (ق و ل).

The analysis above refers to the eighteenth verse of chapter 11 (sūrat hūd):

Sahih International: And who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah ? Those will be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord." Unquestionably, the curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers.
