Verse (10:10), Word 5 - Quranic Grammar

The fifth word of verse (10:10) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verbal noun and possessive pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form II verbal noun is feminine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The verbal noun's triliteral root is ḥā yā yā (ح ي ي). The attached possessive pronoun is third person masculine plural.

Verse (10:10)

The analysis above refers to the tenth verse of chapter 10 (sūrat yūnus):

Sahih International: Their call therein will be, "Exalted are You, O Allah ," and their greeting therein will be, "Peace." And the last of their call will be, "Praise to Allah , Lord of the worlds!"
