The triliteral root zāy lām fā (ز ل ف) occurs 10 times in the Quran, in three derived forms:

  • four times as the form IV verb uz'lifat (أُزْلِفَتْ)
  • four times as the noun zul'fā (زُلْفَىٰٓ)
  • twice as the noun zul'fat (زُلْفَة)
