The triliteral root qāf ṭā rā (ق ط ر) occurs five times in the Quran, in three derived forms:

  • twice as the noun aqṭār (أَقْطَار)
  • twice as the noun qiṭ'r (قِطْر)
  • once as the noun qaṭirān (قَطِرَان)
