The triliteral root nūn shīn hamza (ن ش أ) occurs 28 times in the Quran, in seven derived forms:

  • once as the form II verb yunasha-u (يُنَشَّؤُا۟)
  • 20 times as the form IV verb ansha-a (أَنشَأَ)
  • three times as the noun nashat (نَّشْأَة)
  • once as the active participle nāshi-at (نَاشِئَة)
  • once as the form IV verbal noun inshā (إِنشَآء)
  • once as the form IV active participle munshiūn (مُنشِـُٔون)
  • once as the form IV passive participle munshaāt (مُنشَـَٔات)

Verb (form II) - to bring up

(6:6:27) wa-anshanāand We raised فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ
