جملة «لقد تاب» جواب قسم مُقَدَّر لا محل لها، والموصول نعت، وقوله «من بعد ما كاد يزيغ قلوب فريق منهم» الجارّ متعلق بـ«اتبعوه»، «ما» مصدرية، «كاد» فعل ماض ناسخ، واسمها ضمير الشأن، والمصدر المُؤَوَّل مضاف إليه، وجملة «يزيغ قلوب» خبر كان، والجارّ «منهم» متعلق بنعت لـ«فريق»، وجملة «ثم تاب» معطوفة على جملة «تاب». وجملة «إنه بهم رءوف» معترضة.
