Chapter (8) sūrat l-anfāl (The Spoils of War)

اسم إشارة مبتدأ، وخبره محذوف أي: العقاب، واللام للبعد، و«كم» للخطاب. وقوله «فذوقوه» الفاء للعطف، وفعل أمر، وجملة «فذوقوه» معطوفة على جملة « ذلكم العقاب»، والواو في «وأن للكافرين» عاطفة، والمصدر المؤول مبتدأ، والخبر محذوف تقديره حتم. أي: كون العذاب للكافرين حتم، وجملة المصدر المؤول وخبره معطوفة على الجملة المستأنفة «ذلكم العقاب».
