«أيهم» اسم استفهام مبتدأ، و«زعيم» خبره، الجار «بذلك» متعلق بـ«زعيم»، وجملة (أيهم زعيم): مفعول ثان للسؤال المعلق بالاستفهام، و«سأل» يعلَّق لكونه سببًا في العلم.
