جملة «كانوا» بدل من «كَانُوا» المتقدمة، وجملة «يهجعون» خبر كان، و«ما» زائدة، و«قليلا» نائب مفعول مطلق، والتقدير: كانوا يهجعون من الليل هجوعا قليلا.
