جملة «يحسبون» حال من الضمير في «يُؤْمِنُوا»، وجملة «لم يذهبوا» مفعول ثان، وجملة «وإن يأت» معطوفة على جملة «يحسبون»، «لو» مصدرية، والمصدر المؤول مفعول «يودُّوا»، والمصدر المؤول «أنهم بادون» فاعل بثبت مقدرًا، وجملة «يسألون» حال من الضمير في «يحسبون»، وجملة الشرط «ولو كانوا» معطوفة على جملة «يحسبون»، «قليلا» نائب مفعول مطلق، أي: إلا قتالا قليلا.
