Chapter (2) sūrat l-baqarah (The Cow)

جملة «وإذا لقوا» معطوفة على جملة «وَإِذَا قِيلَ» قبلها لا محل لها. «لقوا» فعل ماض مبني على الضم المقدر على الياء المحذوفة لالتقاء الساكنين بعد تسكينها، والأصل لقِيُوا. والواو فاعل. «خلَوا» فعل ماض مبني على الضم، المقدر على الألف المحذوفة لالتقاء الساكنين، لاتصاله بواو الجماعة. والواو فاعل. «معكم» ظرف مكان يدل على الصحبة متعلق بخبر «إنَّ» المقدر أي :إنَّا كائنون معكم. جملة «إنما نحن مستهزئون» مستأنفة في حيز القول.
