الواو مستأنفة، «يوم» مفعول به لفعل محذوف تقديره: اذكر، «كأن» مخففة واسمها ضمير الشأن، «إلا» للحصر، «ساعة» ظرف زمان. جملة «كأن لم يلبثوا» حالية من الهاء في «يحشرهم»، وجملة «يتعارفون» حال من فاعل «يلبثوا»، وجملة «قد خسر الذين» مستأنفة.
