Verse (9:13), Word 14 - Quranic Grammar

The fourteenth word of verse (9:13) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and proper noun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The proper noun is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The proper noun's triliteral root is hamza lām hā (أ ل ه).

Verse (9:13)

Sahih International: Would you not fight a people who broke their oaths and determined to expel the Messenger, and they had begun [the attack upon] you the first time? Do you fear them? But Allah has more right that you should fear Him, if you are [truly] believers.
