Verse (8:46), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (8:46) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A conjunction and prohibition particle. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The prohibition particle (حرف نهي) is used to form a negative imperative and places the following verb into the jussive mood (مجزوم).
