Verse (8:12), Word 17 - Quranic Grammar

The seventeenth word of verse (8:12) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb and subject pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is ḍād rā bā (ض ر ب). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
