Verse (89:24), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (89:24) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A preposition, noun and possessive pronoun. The prefixed preposition lām is usually translated as "for". The noun is feminine and is in the genitive case (مجرور). The noun's triliteral root is ḥā yā yā (ح ي ي). The attached possessive pronoun is first person singular.
