Verse (85:18), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar


The first word of verse (85:18) is a masculine proper noun and is in the genitive case (مجرور). The case marker is a fatḥah instead of a kasrah because the proper noun is a diptote (ممنوع من الصرف).
