Verse (7:88), Word 19 - Quranic Grammar

The nineteenth word of verse (7:88) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, circumstantial particle and conditional particle. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The connective particle wa is usually translated as "while" and is used to indicate the circumstance of events.
