Verse (7:51), Word 9 - Quranic Grammar

The ninth word of verse (7:51) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and time adverb. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The time adverb is masculine and is in the accusative case (منصوب). The time adverb's triliteral root is yā wāw mīm (ي و م).

Sahih International: Who took their religion as distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deluded." So today We will forget them just as they forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs and for having rejected Our verses.
