Verse (7:20), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (7:20) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A conjunction and verb. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is qāf wāw lām (ق و ل).

Sahih International: But Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was concealed from them of their private parts. He said, "Your Lord did not forbid you this tree except that you become angels or become of the immortal."
