Verse (7:128), Word 16 - Quranic Grammar

The sixteenth word of verse (7:128) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A preposition and active participle. The prefixed preposition lām is usually translated as "for". The form VIII active participle is masculine plural and is in the genitive case (مجرور). The active participle's triliteral root is wāw qāf yā (و ق ي).
