Verse (78:8), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (78:8) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is khā lām qāf (خ ل ق). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is second person masculine plural.

(78:8:2) أَزْوَاجًا in خَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا is marked حال but (78:9:3) سُبَاتًا in جَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا and (78:10:3) لِبَاسًا and (78:11:3) مَعَاشًا are marked مفعول به. What differentiate حال from مفعول به.
