Verse (6:73), Word 13 - Quranic Grammar

The thirteenth word of verse (6:73) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, preposition and personal pronoun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The prefixed preposition lām is usually translated as "for". The personal pronoun is third person masculine singular. Together the segments form a preposition phrase known as jār wa majrūr (جار ومجرور).

The analysis above refers to the 73rd verse of chapter 6 (sūrat l-anʿām):

Sahih International: And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted.
