Verse (6:66), Word 7 - Quranic Grammar

The seventh word of verse (6:66) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A verb and subject pronoun. The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person singular. The verb's triliteral root is lām yā sīn (ل ي س). The verb (لس) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها). The suffix (التاء) is an attached subject pronoun.
