Verse (6:19), Word 15 - Quranic Grammar

The fifteenth word of verse (6:19) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A particle of purpose, verb and object pronoun. The prefixed particle lām is used to indicate the purpose of an action and makes the following verb subjunctive. The form IV imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is first person singular and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is nūn dhāl rā (ن ذ ر). The attached object pronoun is second person masculine plural.

Sahih International: Say, "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say, " Allah is witness between me and you. And this Qur'an was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you [truly] testify that with Allah there are other deities?" Say, "I will not testify [with you]." Say, "Indeed, He is but one God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate [with Him]."
