Verse (6:123), Word 8 - Quranic Grammar

The eighth word of verse (6:123) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A particle of purpose, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed particle lām is used to indicate the purpose of an action and makes the following verb subjunctive. The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine plural and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is mīm kāf rā (م ك ر). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
