Verse (67:9), Word 7 - Quranic Grammar

The seventh word of verse (67:9) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is qāf wāw lām (ق و ل). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.

The analysis above refers to the ninth verse of chapter 67 (sūrat l-mulk):

Sahih International: They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, ' Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.' "
