Verse (60:11), Word 9 - Quranic Grammar

The ninth word of verse (60:11) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A result particle, verb and subject pronoun. The result particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate the result of a condition. The form IV imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. Sahih International: And if you have lost any of your wives to the disbelievers and you subsequently obtain [something], then give those whose wives have gone the equivalent of what they had spent. And fear Allah , in whom you are believers.
