Verse (5:67), Word 15 - Quranic Grammar


The fifteenth word of verse (5:67) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and proper noun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The proper noun is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The proper noun's triliteral root is hamza lām hā (أ ل ه).

Sahih International: O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
