Verse (5:28), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (5:28) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A particle of purpose, verb and object pronoun. The prefixed particle lām is used to indicate the purpose of an action and makes the following verb subjunctive. The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is first person singular and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is qāf tā lām (ق ت ل). The attached object pronoun is second person masculine singular.
