Verse (5:104), Word 17 - Quranic Grammar

The seventeenth word of verse (5:104) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, supplemental particle and conditional particle. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The supplemental particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so".
