Verse (57:19), Word 8 - Quranic Grammar

Verse (57:19)

The analysis above refers to the nineteenth verse of chapter 57 (sūrat l-ḥadīd):

Sahih International: And those who have believed in Allah and His messengers - those are [in the ranks of] the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who have disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of Hellfire.

does the word shaheed always mean witness in the Quran?....some use the word to me martyr like

سورة النساء

وَمَن يُطِعِ اللّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاء وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَئِكَ رَفِيقًا 69

سورة آل عمران

(إن يمسسكم قرح فقد القوم قرح مثله وتلك الايام نداولها بين الناس وليعلم الله الذين آمنو منكم ويتخذ منكم شهداء والله لا يحب الظالمين ()140
