Verse (4:46), Word 10 - Quranic Grammar

The tenth word of verse (4:46) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is ʿayn ṣād yā (ع ص ي). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.

Verse (4:46)

The analysis above refers to the 46th verse of chapter 4 (sūrat l-nisāa):

Sahih International: Among the Jews are those who distort words from their [proper] usages and say, "We hear and disobey" and "Hear but be not heard" and "Ra'ina," twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. And if they had said [instead], "We hear and obey" and "Wait for us [to understand]," it would have been better for them and more suitable. But Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.
