Verse (4:15), Word 6 - Quranic Grammar

The sixth word of verse (4:15) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A supplemental particle, verb and subject pronoun. The supplemental particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so". The form X imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is shīn hā dāl (ش ه د). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.

Sahih International: Those who commit unlawful sexual intercourse of your women - bring against them four [witnesses] from among you. And if they testify, confine the guilty women to houses until death takes them or Allah ordains for them [another] way.
