Verse (4:151), Word 5 - Quranic Grammar

The fifth word of verse (4:151) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A circumstantial particle, verb and subject pronoun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "while" and is used to indicate the circumstance of events. The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is ʿayn tā dāl (ع ت د). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.
