Verse (45:31), Word 5 - Quranic Grammar

The fifth word of verse (45:31) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is third person feminine singular and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (تكن) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
