Verse (44:28), Word 2 - Quranic Grammar

The second word of verse (44:28) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is wāw rā thā (و ر ث). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.
