Verse (43:33), Word 3 - Quranic Grammar

The third word of verse (43:33) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is third person masculine singular and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (يكون) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
