	Dara 15th September, 2013 According to Halabi's Al-Durr Al-Masun (altafsir.com): قوله: {يُعْرَضُونَ}: حالٌ لأنَّ الرؤيةَ بصريةٌ. "خاشعين" حالٌ Yu'Radhoun is Haal i.e. the way something is while a verb acting on them (or no verb acting) My vote is NOT PASSIVE.

	Abdul Rahman 16th September, 2013 This is a Form IV verb: V – 3rd person masculine plural imperfect verb (passive). Certainly not Haal, which is always Noun.
	Dara 16th September, 2013 Haal is not always noun, please refer to Arabic Grammatical Nomenclature by Antoine Haddad (ISBN 01D110496) There are many cateogries of Hall, one of them is Haal Jumla Fi'iliya. Example أقبل الصديق يُبشر القوم

But for the purpose of this particular website, it would be less confusing for the average student of Arabic using the website, if comments on grammar is based on http://corpus.quran.com/documentation/grammar.jsp. What are your thoughts on this, Kais?
	Kais 17th September, 2013 This is a tricky issue. Terminology can vary between different grammarians. Abdul Rahman is right, we should (at least for now) stick to the annotation guidelines displayed on the website, which is based on terminology from Salih (2007). As such, haal is a syntactic role, and passive is a morphological feature. So yes, this should be tagged: Imperfect Passive Verb, Form IV, Third Person Masculine Plural.
