Verse (41:25), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (41:25) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". Verse (41:25)

The analysis above refers to the 25th verse of chapter 41 (sūrat fuṣṣilat):

Sahih International: And We appointed for them companions who made attractive to them what was before them and what was behind them [of sin], and the word has come into effect upon them among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers.
