Verse (40:37), Word 7 - Quranic Grammar

The seventh word of verse (40:37) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, accusative particle and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The accusative particle belongs to a special group of words known as inna and her sisters (ان واخواتها). The attached object pronoun is first person singular.

Verse (40:37)

The analysis above refers to the 37th verse of chapter 40 (sūrat ghāfir):

Sahih International: The ways into the heavens - so that I may look at the deity of Moses; but indeed, I think he is a liar." And thus was made attractive to Pharaoh the evil of his deed, and he was averted from the [right] way. And the plan of Pharaoh was not except in ruin.
