Verse (40:12), Word 9 - Quranic Grammar

The ninth word of verse (40:12) is a passive form IV imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is third person masculine singular and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is shīn rā kāf (ش ر ك).

Sahih International: [They will be told], "That is because, when Allah was called upon alone, you disbelieved; but if others were associated with Him, you believed. So the judgement is with Allah , the Most High, the Grand."
