Verse (40:12), Word 12 - Quranic Grammar

The twelfth word of verse (40:12) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and noun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The noun is masculine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). Sahih International: [They will be told], "That is because, when Allah was called upon alone, you disbelieved; but if others were associated with Him, you believed. So the judgement is with Allah , the Most High, the Grand."
