Verse (3:50), Word 19 - Quranic Grammar

The nineteenth word of verse (3:50) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form IV imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is ṭā wāw ʿayn (ط و ع). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun. The of the first person singular object pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.
